OSBLOCK, ONE OF THE TEN INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS OF THE YEAR 2020 FINALISTS

The 2020 Innovation Competition aims to recognize and encourage the Research & Development effort in our industry. Hardware products and construction materials that present technical and/or technological advances compared to what exists on the market are therefore particularly sought after.

Any product offered by a manufacturer intended for the residential market and which meets construction standards is eligible.

A committee made up of three merchants from different banners gave their verdict: ten were selected as innovative products deserving the attention of buyers.

An R-32 insulated structural wall, made of chipboard (OSB) and polystyrene, which combines ease of installation with the speed and efficiency of building responsibly. No machinery required for installation thanks to a screwless locking system. Very high insulating factor, requiring 75% less labour, three times faster to install and, certainly straight, reducing the amount of waste related to the site because the customer orders only what he needs. So an interesting material for LEED construction.
